🎤 Rising country and Christian singer Breanna Nix is quickly becoming a breakout star with the success of her debut single, “Higher.” The song rocketed to No. 1 on the iTunes Country Songs chart just days after the American Idol Season 23 finale, instantly making a bold statement about her arrival in the music world.

As the third-place finalist and a standout fan favorite on American Idol 2025, Nix won hearts across the nation with her powerful voice and faith-driven performances. Her heartfelt interpretation of “Higher,” originally recorded by Toby Lightman, became a signature moment during the competition and connected deeply with viewers.

“Watching how many people have been touched by ‘Higher’ is beyond anything I expected,” Nix shared. “This song is all about overcoming fear and putting trust in something bigger than yourself. That message has been a guiding light for me on this journey.”

Released on May 19, “Higher” didn’t take long to climb the charts. In addition to topping the country category, the single also surged to No. 2 on the overall iTunes chart, reflecting the widespread appeal of her uplifting and emotional style. As of May 25, the song remains strong, sitting at No. 16 on the iTunes U.S. Country Songs chart.

Looking ahead, Nix will achieve a longtime dream when she makes her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 5. The day before, she’ll take the stage at CMA Fest in Nashville on June 4, performing in a special showcase hosted by 19 Recordings and featuring fellow Idol alumni.
